PBF-SW
Stretch Forming Machine

The ultimate solution for longitudinal and transversal aircraft skin stretching. Features multi-axis CNC grippers and 0.2mm precision for fuselage panels, wing skins.

PBF-SW
Stretch Forming Machine

Aircraft skin stretch forming—commonly referred to as “Stretch Wrap Forming”—is the cornerstone of aerospace sheet metal fabrication. It is a process where the precision of the curve directly dictates the aerodynamic efficiency and structural integrity of the aircraft.

The PBF-SW Series represents the pinnacle of this technology. Engineered as a versatile, dual-axis platform, the PBF-SW is capable of both longitudinal and transversal forming, offering a “one-stop” solution for everything from long fuselage skins to wide, double-curvature wing panels. By integrating high-tonnage axial tension with synchronized vertical table movement, the machine transforms flat metal blanks into complex 3D geometries with unparalleled fidelity.

Proven Performance
From R&D to Aerospace Leadership

We commitment to excellence is backed by a decade of innovation. Since pioneering the first generation of 600-ton CNC skin stretch forming systems, PBF-SW has achieved a breakthrough 0.2mm precision standard. This level of accuracy has been field-tested in the production of over 100 types of complex skin components for major aerospace programs.

Today, the PBF-SW series serves as a critical asset in the manufacturing of next-generation commercial aircraft, including the C919 and C929. With its ability to dynamically adjust tensile forces and die angles in real-time, the PBF-SW is not just a machine—it is a flexible manufacturing cell designed to meet the most rigorous standards of modern aviation.

Transversal Skin Stretch Forming Machine
The Specialist for Large-Scale Double-Curvature Contours

The Transversal Series is specifically engineered for the lateral stretch forming of wide-format sheet metal. It is the premier solution for manufacturing high-precision aerospace components such as wing leading edges, saddle-shaped double-curvature skins, and rocket fuel tank wall panels.

  • Uniform Stress Distribution: Utilizing wide-body gripper designs and multi-cylinder synchronization technology, the machine ensures consistent tension across ultra-wide sheets, effectively eliminating surface defects like slip lines and “orange peel” textures.
  • Multi-Dimensional Articulation: The grippers support multi-axis rotation and horizontal swinging. Combined with a long-stroke vertical cylinder, the system easily manages the “wrapping” process for parts with large curvatures and deep-draw requirements.
  • Heavy-Duty Precision: Designed to balance “heavy-load low-speed” stability with “no-load rapid-advance” efficiency, ensuring stable clamping and precise forming of heavy-gauge plates.

Longitudinal Skin Stretch Forming Machine
Extra-Long Stroke & Heavy-Duty Flexible Production Line

Designed for extra-long aerospace components (such as fuselage sections and wing stringers), the Longitudinal Series serves as a comprehensive flexible manufacturing cell. It integrates pre-stretching, straightening, and forming into a single, highly efficient process.

  • Composite Forming Technology: Breaking the limits of traditional stretching, this series utilizes a primary/auxiliary dual-gripper system combined with a movable gantry and worktable lifting system. This allows for a seamless transition between “Stretch, Bend, and Press” composite processes.
  • Servo-Controlled Stability: Powered by a closed-loop servo system, the machine eliminates hydraulic “crawling” (stick-slip) at low speeds, ensuring exceptional repeat positioning accuracy and a flawless surface finish.
  • Adaptive Flexibility: The innovative dual-gripper configuration can be adjusted based on material width to minimize energy consumption and material waste. Additionally, the intelligent worktable supports significant vertical travel and tilting, enabling the formation of complex skins with reverse curves (convex hulls).
